Mark your calendars for August 8th!
The Society will host a Community Ice Cream Social on Saturday, August 8th, 2:00 p.m., at the Trinity Ranch. This is open to ALL the area residents and families. Dr. Hamilton will give a brief history on Trinity Ranch along with information about Charles Goodnight running cattle in Babcock Hole. We will also hear from Clint Carr, cowboy guitarist.
The Social replaces our regular August meeting. The next regular meeting will be September 12th at 10 a.m., in the Society's meeting room behind the Post Office.
On July 16th the History Center was the site of the 2nd Wetmore Kiosk Meeting with Judy Walden, moderator. 17 participants were present to see and hear the presentation by Jeanne Fenter-Snider (Walden team member) who had our stories, photos in powerpoint format. The team also had the kiosk broken down by each of the 3 panels along with suggested text and map information for each. After our discussion, the team now goes back to firm up each of them, incorporating our suggestions. A third meeting will be held in the near future for our review of these results.
Southern Rockies - Crossroads of Culture (SRCC)members, CDOT, and the Walden Mills Group appreciate your time and input at the meetings.
