The August 13th celebration hosted by the Wetmore-Hardscrabble Genealogical and Historical Society was a big success! Approximately 100 guests attended the event at the Wetmore Post Office celebrating the sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary of Fremont County and the 6th year of the Historical Society. Many of those in attendance are descendants of the original homesteaders. After greetings and introductions, guests enjoyed a delicious brisket and potluck picnic.
President Margaret Storm, thanking the Historical Society's volunteers, said "I'll bet our ancestors were looking down, saying 'good job' descendants."
Thank you to all who attended!
President Margaret Storm and Vice President Bill Howell welcome and introduce guests.
