It is with great sadness and heartache that I write our friend, sister, and long time resident of Wetmore, Peggy Martin, passed on January 30, 2020 from her long and courageous battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her family.
Peggy was an avid collector and fierce protector of the histories of Wetmore and the surrounding areas. The characters, even if they were not related, were like her family, and she treated each one with love and respect. She always happily shared her research.
Peggy was also the caretaker of New Hope Church and Cemetery in Wetmore.
We will miss her smile and her sense of humor.
