Two thousand riders participating in the 2015 Ride the Rockies passed through Wetmore and the Hardscrabble Canyon on the last leg of their 7 day, 495 mile journey which began in Grand Junction and ended with much fanfare in Westcliffe on Saturday, June 20.
Riders began their 47 mile ride in Canon City Saturday morning and started passing by the Hayward residence on Hwy 96 outside of Wetmore at about 7:30 am. The Haywards are guessing that they are about the 1/2 way point of the final ride.
